ROME (Reuters) – Mario Balotelli has refused to join the Brazilian club Flamengo despite the club's urgent urge to sign it, the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper reported Saturday.
Flamengo coach Jorge Jesus agreed with Balotelli, but the Italian star refused to sign the contracts at the last minute.
Balotelli is expected to join a Serie A club at his own discretion after playing some time in France with Nice and Marseille in the last two years.
It is worth mentioning that Balotelli has refrained from participating with his country, Italy, during the recent period, in light of the low level and many problems outside the stadiums.
