Facebook, the owner of the Wattab application, has asked owners of accounts using Wattasab, Wattasab and Wattasbab to remove these apps from their computers and delete their accounts.
The company added that it would block numbers using these unofficial applications and prevent it from communicating numbers relating to the main application, which would be a serious step to deter the owners of these applications, called "Watsab".
Facebook has justified this position by wanting to protect the privacy of users, especially after the company's privacy breach charges over the recent period.
In its warning to users, Facebook has confirmed that archiving and backups of discussions would not be secure in modified versions of the email application.
