She expressed Algeria's pride in welcoming the presidency of this session, noting her appreciation of the magnitude of the responsibilities and the great challenges that arose during this session, and called on the Member States to assist Algeria in carrying out its task through the Arab Women's Committee.

The agenda of the session includes several presentations on "Women and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Arab Region", "Fighting Violence Against Women" and "Women , security, peace and anti-Takfiri groups ".

For her part, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Under-Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, welcomed the importance that Algeria attaches to promoting joint Arab action, promoting and protecting indigenous peoples. rights of Arab women and the political will of Algeria to promote the role of women in society. She stressed that the Arab Women's Committee will propose the creation of an Arab Network for Women and Peace Control, as well as the establishment of the Emergency Committee for the Protection of Women in Armed Conflict in the Arab region, on the basis of the recommendations of the Arab Women's Committee at its previous sessions.

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States will hold two side events at the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women on 12 and 15 March, thanking the Arab League to thank the Algerian President for sponsoring the work. of the Arab Women's Committee.
