Apple plans to produce a new cartoon series based on Snoopi and Pinatas, created by American painter Charles Schultz, for display on the video platform that it is expected to publish, according to a source close to the deal.
Apple has signed an agreement with the Canadian group DHL Media, which holds 80% of the rights of publication of reports on Benatas, in the middle of a "very tough competition", said the source confirming that information circulated in the newspapers.
Under this agreement, DHX will produce a new series of animations, special programs and short episodes centered on the characters of Pinatas, a group of friends accompanied by Snoopi.
Apple, based in California, has taken advantage of prestigious names for its new platform, such as Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey.
