Technology experts have warned Android smartphone users of 9 "dangerous" apps whose use would deplete the phone's battery.
And the apps that have been warned, loaded millions of times on devices, "Android", have caused the emergence of unwanted ads, as well as their role in battery damage.
Complaints spread across all nine apps have been removed from the Google Play store, but they still exist on already repaired phones.
According to the Sun daily, Lucas Stefanco, an information security researcher, said the nine apps "were hiding unwanted codes".
Stefano pointed out that the applications replaced by the warning are all turning the phone on a remote "remote" TV or air conditioner, which encourages users to download.
But their harmful effects appear quickly with frequent advertising impressions and rapid battery depletion.
The nine apps have similar names:
– Remote control for television and electronic devices
– Remote control for free TV
– Air conditioner remote control
– Remote control of the television
– Remote control for air conditioner
– Remote control for the car (stuffing)
– Universal TV remote control
– TV remote control
– Remote control
