Billionaire Richard Branson returned to Earth after a successful space tourism trip, aboard the Virgin Galactic spacecraft, accompanied by three other passengers and two pilots, where he spent a few minutes in space, on a journey that is expected to encourage emerging space tourism. .
During the flight, Branson said this adventure represents a great experience in a lifetime, as a plane took off from SPACE Port America in New Mexico and flew for about 50 minutes.
Branson’s flight comes just nine days before another billionaire, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, left in the race for space tourism, which is also set to make a trip to the frontiers of space on July 20, in using the Blue Origin spaceship.
Branson has announced he will be doing a test flight for Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc. A week before he turns 71.

Branson flies aboard Virgin’s VSS Unity spacecraft, which flies into the air on the so-called mother plane, a journey that is expected to take around 90 minutes from takeoff to landing. After being launched from the carrier aircraft, the unit will ignite a rocket motor to propel it to an altitude of 88 kilometers above the ground.
The flight approaches the space line defined by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, known as the “Karman Line”, which is 100 kilometers from the Earth’s surface.
Branson, who was knighted in 1999 by Queen Elizabeth II for “services to entrepreneurship,” is worth around $ 7.5 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
