The artist from United Arab Emirates Balqees recounted that she had suffered from a mental illness called "social phobia" in her teens. At the World Tidex conference, she told of her suffering and how she managed to get rid of it.

"I was suffering from social phobia and it was impossible to stand with someone I did not know because my body was starting to shake.The problem started since my 13 year old teenager "she said. Once in the mall and I met an old friend whom I had not seen since, when I approached and I recovered, I started to shake and to shake me, she asked me not to shake, I told her a lot of happiness. Then I decided to find out what was happening and I learned that I was suffering from social phobia. When I read articles on the subject, I found it necessary to get me treated by a psychiatrist.

Balqis spoke to her mother about her mental illness, but she refused to let her daughter go see a psychiatrist lest people take her for a crazy one. She did not breastfeed her mother's words, sued with her doctor and gave her medicine, advice, instructions and training to get rid of the disease. His mother came back and was satisfied.
