Bitcoin jumped 12% in Monday’s trading after an announcement from Tesla, a company founded by famous American businessman Elon Musk.
The rise came after Tesla announced it had invested $ 1.5 billion in cryptocurrency in January, and the U.S. company said it should start accepting digital currency payments for its cars and other products in the near future.
It said it could “acquire digital assets and hold them from time to time or for the long term” as part of its general investment policy.
According to the agency, the digital currency rose, at 13:00 GMT, to the level of 43,625 dollars, and thus set a new record.
However, the currency started to fall again after that, recording a reading at $ 42,463.
