The new personal status system, which is expected to be approved soon, has revealed cases in which the court annulled the marriage contract between the spouses.

The system provided for the court to annul the wife’s marriage contract that was not concluded at her request for non-payment of the dowry by the husband if the deadline set by the court for the payment of the dowry expires and does not pay it provided that the deadline does not exceed 30 days from the date of the request.

The court cancels the marriage contract at the wife’s request if her husband refuses to spend, or if the husband claims insolvency by the alimony due to his wife, and he has the right to request termination of the contract immediately, and the court annuls the marriage contract at the wife’s request because of the harm done to her by the husband in a way that makes it ten times more difficult.

In the event that the clear and clear harm is not proven, the court will resort to reconciliation between them, and choose a judgment from each party to investigate the causes of the discord, and endeavor to reconcile the spouses, and the wife has the right to request the annulment of the marriage due to the absence of her husband, unless his absence is for work, and the wife can request the annulment of the marriage due to loss Her husband or his absence after a period determined by the court of not less than one year and not more than two years from the date of his absence.
