Data from the Egyptian Central Bank showed Monday that remittances from Egyptians working abroad had increased by about 15% compared to the same period last year.
According to a statement by the Central Bank, total remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached about $ 3 billion last May, compared to about $ 2.6 billion in the same month in 2018, an increase of $ 390.1 million.
Total remittances from overseas workers in May increased by about $ 894.7 million, an increase of 42.6% over the previous April, where he had recorded about $ 2.1 billion.
