MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid suffered a new shock in the season with a 3-0 home defeat against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday in the last day of Group G matches in the Champions League.
Despite the defeat, Real and Roma have retained their positions in the group, where Real has 12 points in the lead against nine points for Roma in second place, qualifying implicitly for the knockout stages.
CSKA Moscow scored seven points in third place with a goal difference just ahead of Victoria Plzen. CSKA Moscow has moved to the 32nd UEFA Champions League.
Cesca Moscow conceded a hard lesson with three goals from Fedor Chalov, Georgi Sheenikov and Arnor Sigurdson in the 37th, 43rd and 73rd minutes.
