The artificial intelligence systems themselves will handle China's first deep sea base in China, which humans can not reach, according to reports yesterday in the South China Morning Star newspaper.
Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences plan to set up a robot-controlled base in the South China Sea, reports said. Al Qaeda could become "the world's first industrial intelligence colony".
The base is located at depths between 19685 and 36,100 feet (6 to 11 kilometers) below sea level and will be equipped with a power supply via cables from ships or floating platforms. It will be designed from interconnected units such as those including the International Space Station, its deep platforms, robotic submarines that explore the depths of the sea and collect data on marine life, as well as the collection and analysis of minerals.
Scientists have so far been able to explore only 1% of the seas and oceans, whose waters cover 70% of the Earth's surface. Chinese research will provide data to analyze changes in the Earth's climate, explore elements of new drugs and pharmaceuticals, and identify endangered marine organisms.
According to scientific estimates, the cost of the base will reach $ 160 million.
