Preparation in China for the launch of the “Chang’e-5” probe on November 23.

China’s National Space Authority said on Sunday that it had successfully achieved convergence and lunar-orbit docking of the landing craft “Chang’e-5” with the vehicle group of return.

During this process, samples taken by the probe from the moon were transferred to the return craft during a mission that began with the launch of the spacecraft on November 24. On December 3, after completing its assigned mission, the Chinese spacecraft took off and returned from the surface of the Moon to space. The next step in this mission is to reach Earth safely and deliver the lunar dust / rock samples to Chinese space scientists.
