According to a new British study, people who consume chocolate three times a month are less likely to suffer a stroke.
Nutritionist Dwayne Millor of Coventry University, quoted by the Sun newspaper, said that chocolate has long been considered responsible for guilt, but not bad, but rich in zinc, magnesium and iron.
"Although chocolate contains saturated fats, it does not cause damage, unlike other foods that contain saturated fats, such as an increased risk of heart disease or high cholesterol," said Dwayne Millor.
"The important benefit of chocolates is related to heart health because it improves the health of blood vessels and reduces cholesterol."
Several previous studies have shown that chocolates are very useful for the human digestive system and play an important role in mood enhancement because they increase the secretion of serotonin, the hormone responsible for feeling of happiness.
