A company sells replacement PlayStation 5 consoles and says to Sony, “Come on, judge us.”

Canadian computer hardware company Dbrand has released alternative PS5 panels, dubbed Darkplates, with a cheeky stance toward the prospect of pulling Sony out.

Eurogamer Next Generation News – Will PlayStation Studios release more Xbox games?

Like the polygon, it was noted that the replacement panels are now on sale. It’s matte black and will set you back at least $ 49 – with no shipping costs.

“With the launch of Darkplates, the unimaginable thing happened,” says Dran. “We took Sony’s massive breakthrough in poor design … and fixed it. We can only assume that our prices are sent by post. “

That’s an aggressive tone considering the plight of the companies that have so far tried and failed to sell PS5 consoles. The company was late last year PlateStation5.com was forced to change its name and remove PS5 images after Sony threatened to take legal action. In the end, the company canceled all requests in advance.

The PS5 panels are coming out with a bit of hype – as Sony revealed ahead of the console’s launch in November 2020. At the time, it looked like Sony was planning to sell its official replacement panels, though the company had not yet advertised such a product.

Dbrand cards have a microscopic texture, just like official PS5 cards, but this is slightly different from the internal buttons on the PlayStation.

“When you look at that microscopic tissue inside the dark leaves, what do you see?” “Completely legal,” DeBrand says in one section of his website.

“If your answer is a ‘horrible legal development – familiar but distinctive – in the forms of classic PlayStation buttons,” you could be one of our advocates.

“Come on, our judge,” the headline reads.

According to the Darkplates website, the first three waves of PS5 cards have sold out. A limited stock of the matte black option is expected to be available for the disc version of the console for delivery in May.

The question is whether this action will continue until then or will Sony’s lawyer have a say?
