The company said that thanks to the “machine learning” (“machine learning”) technology that its engineers have found, users will only have to open the “Google Fit” app, as the camera detects movement. light from the chest, up and down, from which it detects the rhythm of breathing.

The heart rate will be measured based on the subtle changes in skin color, which result from blood flow leaving the heart and carrying oxygen to the rest of the body.

Users will only have to place their fingers on the lenses of their phone for the app to calculate the number of heartbeats per minute.

Jining Jan, an engineer at Google Health, said that the diversity of skin colors was taken into account during the study.

She added that although the technology is designed for luxury purposes, “its margins of error are within the limits of equipment margins approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.”

These new tools are expected to be available on Google phones running the Android operating system in the coming months.
