Al Mansouri thanked the Economic and Social Council for commending the efforts and initiatives of the United Arab Emirates in this regard, as well as its call to keep pace with these initiatives. He urged Arab scientists to participate in and benefit from the satellite project.
He welcomed the solidarity of the Arab delegations with the State initiatives in this regard, stressing that this step would make it possible to scientifically and practically strengthen the capabilities of the Arab countries in the space sector and to increase their chances of taking advantage of it to support the economic and social development of the Arab region. And the expansion of Arab resources in various fields.
The meeting discussed a number of other economic and social issues on its agenda, which will be presented at the Arab summit next Sunday, including the master plan for the Arab Strategy for Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, the Arab Movement in the negotiations on climate change and the treatment of its problems, Arab Strategy for the Elderly and Arab Plan of Action to tackle the causes of terrorism.
Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jady called for strengthening cooperation among Arab countries to achieve the desired economic development. In a speech delivered at the meeting, he said that Arab development aspirations needed more coordination and cooperation and that efforts should be continued to meet the needs of the peoples of the Arab region in various areas of development. especially economic development.
He added that the adoption of the summit by many Arab strategies in the economic and social sectors was aimed primarily at supporting the march of joint Arab action.
In this context, Al-Jada's reported the adoption of the Arab Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction 2030, the Arab Document on the Protection and Development of the Environment, the 39 Arab Agreement on the Exchange of Plant Genetic Resources and the Arab Strategy for Health and the Environment (2017-2030).
