Malian defender Salif Coulibaly has confirmed his departure from Al-Ahli during the winter transfer period due to the number of foreign players allowed in the red team.

Al-Ahly opens its Champions League group stage against the Vita Club Congo on Saturday at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
