Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday ordered the immediate release of more than 2,000 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Information Minister Fuad Chowdhury said the Saudi Crown Prince, who is on a two-day visit to Pakistan, has ordered the release of Pakistani prisoners. in recognition of the generous care provided to the Pakistani community living in Saudi Arabia.

"Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has ordered the immediate release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners from Saudi jails, while the rest of the prisoners will be examined," Qureshi said in a tweet on his Twitter account.

"The Pakistani people thank the Crown Prince for his generous gesture and to respond to the request of Prime Minister Imran Khan," Qureshi said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked the Crown Prince to take steps to release some Pakistani prisoners incarcerated for minor crimes.

"The ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia has considered, we will do everything in our power," replied the Crown Prince.

The response of the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, at the request of the Pakistani Prime Minister, to the admiration of Pakistani citizens and officials who spoke on social networking sites and expressed their happiness with interest and love of Saudi leaders of Pakistanis.
