Customs inspectors at King Fahd Pier, in coordination with the relevant authorities, carried out an inspection at a house outside the customs office.
The inspectors seized 304 kilograms of banned koro fruit, 173 artificial perfume bottles and 57 diaper bags, all of which were equipped for sale.
Mohammed al-Naeem, deputy governor of security affairs at the General Customs Authority, said the operation had been conducted after gathering evidence and conducted the necessary investigations into the attempted smuggling of materials recently banned at the customs of King Fahd Causeway, and after the evidence of the presence of quantities of prohibited items stored in a house in Dammam.
He added that a number of residents of the Kingdom had been arrested with smuggling, based on information exchanged with the Bahraini party.
