Dar Al-Shorouk has published a book entitled "From Beirut to Palestine: The Middle East Peace Process", a biography and historical vision of the Palestinian writer and politician, Dr. Nabil Shaath.

In the second part of his autobiography, the great Palestinian politician and diplomat, Dr. Nabeel Shaath, continues to accompany us on a journey that recounts the different stages of the Palestinian revolution and struggle, mixed with an autobiography reflecting the influence of its author and his distinguished role in writing the history of a country that has struggled and continues to pay what he has not paid. Nations to obtain their freedom and their stolen rights.

This book deals with an important period in the history of the Arab region and the Palestinian struggle, which was beginning to bear fruit. The choice was the political and diplomatic struggle in which the author of this book had an obvious influence and a major contribution to decision-making.

The book is the second part of the biography of Shaath, published by Dar al-Shorouk under the title "My life: from the Nakba to the revolution". It combines personal memories and historical narratives, spanning the period from the beginning of the Zionist invasion of Palestine. The epic of Beirut in 1982, the Arab-Israeli wars, the beginning of the Palestinian revolution led by Fatah, the creation of the PLO and the stages of the history of Jordan and Lebanon .

Born in Safad from a father who worked as director of the Arab Bank in Jaffa and a Lebanese mother, he left with his father Palestine after 1948 in Alexandria, Egypt, to finish his studies at the University of Alexandria. He then moved to the United States where he earned a master's and doctorate in business administration from the Wharton Institute of Management at the University of Pennsylvania.

After his return, he founded several commercial companies and served as economic and administrative advisor to many Arab governments and taught at the American University of Beirut, where he was dean of the faculty of economics, as well as 'at the American University of Cairo. After the establishment of the Palestinian National Authority, he returned to Gaza. He was elected MP for Khan Yunis and was appointed Minister of Planning and International Cooperation. He was appointed to the government of Ahmed Qurei, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information.
