Two years have passed since Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, and October 2 will bring back the memory of this terrible event, and many events and activities will be held on this occasion in many regions. of the world in memory of Khashoggi’s murder. For example, the Zero Film Festival will screen a film about Khashoggi and his murder, by Oscar-winning American director Brian Vogel. The film will also be screened in the United States next December, and at the same time its premiere will also be released in Turkey. On the other hand, Khashoggi’s fiancee and her friends will also be giving speeches during the presentation in Zurich.

However, the most important event for Khashoggi on the anniversary of his departure remains that the rally he intended to establish in the United States prior to his departure under the name “Democracy for the Arab World Now ”, known as“ Dawn ”(DAWN), will officially begin operations as early as October 2. Khashoggi was very interested in this gathering and also intended to devote the rest of his life to activities that would express this gathering.

Although Khashoggi has had a good relationship for many years with the Saudi royal family, the issues that have arisen in recent times have been by no means personal. Even at a time when his relations were good with the monarchy, he was aware that he was ultimately dealing with a monarchy, and therefore Khashoggi’s aspirations or demands were not impossible or above the maximum level, if you want. So much so that he recently gave up on the issue of freedom of expression, and was content to go back to what is behind it, namely the freedom to remain silent and not want to speak, but the Saudi crown prince who has broken all property rules in his country has not even recognized the freedom to remain silent and not to speak. Everyone should praise and praise their favors instead.

When Khashoggi saw that his claims, which were not inherently insoluble, were of no benefit, he saw that it was time for democracy to speak out for the good of his country and the entire Arab world.

In fact, Khashoggi saw that there was a turning point in this regard, especially in his country, because he knew that Saudi Arabia was the largest democracy-resistant country in the Arab world. Sadly, Saudi Arabia has always been the biggest obstacle to the Arab world’s transition to democracy and the main cause of human rights abuses, coups and dictatorships. He supported Egypt’s coup which led him to the worst conditions and removed him from the reason for his history, then Saudi Arabia continued to support the regime that resulted from this coup d ‘State. As for Yemen, we see that Saudi Arabia has destroyed the channels of dialogue that had emerged in Yemen and would have revived the country, so that the Saudi intervention would blow up everything and lead the country into chaos, of which it is difficult to get out. As for Saudi Arabia’s role in Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and Libya, that’s another story.

Neither Saudi Arabia nor the United Arab Emirates, which is their greatest ally, have a vision or constructive efforts and contributory activities in any country. On the contrary, they only master a policy that always pushes towards destructive regimes and constant chaos, and so they rush to pay the last price for these policies very quickly. The most important price for these policies practiced by both Saudi Arabia and the UAE is that they have turned into a place of hatred and indignation on the part of the peoples of the Islamic world.

Thanks to these policies, the Arab world has today become an uninhabitable place for its citizens. The Arab countries are today the most armed countries and those which spend the most of their resources on weapons. However, these same countries never found them directing these weapons at anyone other than their own people. On the contrary, we see that the Arabs are the only ones to eliminate the weapons they use against each other.

The Arab peoples have nothing to do with this weaponry or with these wars. On the contrary, only the rulers make decisions about it, and they start wars at the expense of the life, dignity and comfort of their people. It is precisely for this reason that we find that the Arab peoples who now see their country as an uninhabitable place are moving towards asylum and immigration to non-Arab countries. In fact, that alone should be reason enough to shame the rulers of Arab countries. Every refugee who travels to Turkey or Europe brings with him the legitimacy of the leader of the country from which he comes.

Tens of thousands of people are now held in cells across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, and they are subjected to the most brutal mistreatment in harsh conditions due to their ideas or their political positions.

Khashoggi felt from all his depths the concerns and the pain of the Arab world and he was looking for a solution, he saw very well that the solution is to liberate the will of the people, through democracy. For this reason, it was very important to activate the gathering that he planned to establish with a group of friends shortly before his departure, and it is good that this gathering was launched on the second anniversary of Khashoggi’s departure.

In this context, this gathering was recently inaugurated in Washington through a meeting held by the Executive Director of this gathering now known as “the dawn” of democracy for the Arab world, in the presence of Abdullah Al-Awda, son. of Saudi preacher Salman Al-Awda, the most prominent academic audience in Saudi Arabia. In addition to the Delaware Senator Race Coons.

This group or organization will create comprehensive documents on human rights violations in Arab countries, to serve as a resource for researchers, academics and political activists.

In addition, the association will reveal the identity of government officials who abuse their positions and are unknown to the international community, including officials, guards, interrogators, torturers, prosecutors, judges and others.

Whatever the cause of Khashoggi’s murder, his death has become a powerful force and influence, and at the same time results in real damage directed at his assassins. We said earlier; Khashoggi’s mind doesn’t let its killers feel at ease and doesn’t let them.
