Dead and injured in a scramble for rapper "Solking" in Algeria

At least five people were killed in a scramble during a rap concert in Algiers.

Thousands of people gathered in a stadium in Algiers to meet rapper Abdel Raouf Darraji, nicknamed "Solking", when a slaughter took place at one of the entrances.

Local media quoted medical sources as saying that about 21 people were also injured in the rush and were transported to the hospital.

No other details about the incident were available.

Videos posted on social media showed paramedics carrying a person on a stretcher suspected of falling victim to the derelict and removing the ground.

The ceremony continued as planned and was broadcast live on an Algerian television channel.
