The 33-year-old singer, Janeess Freeman, had a heart attack while at home with her husband.
The couple quickly contacted the ambulances but could not save Freeman, who died after arriving at the hospital.
The deceased singer took part in the 13th episode of The Voice in its American version. By filtering "Behind the Curtain", she managed to reach the star, Miley Cyrus, and although she could not reach the final, she was stressed, Cyrus was helping her financially.
On several occasions, Freeman expressed gratitude to Cyrus for his support, saying that she was his close friend. She was surprised to find that Cyrus paid six months to rent the apartment she lived with her family so that Freeman could stand up.
