LONDON (Reuters) – British biologist and Nobel Laureate Sydney Brenner, 92, is dead, the Singapore Research Association announced on Friday.
Brenner won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2002, in partnership with British scientist John Solston and American researcher Robert Horwitz.
The award has been awarded to the work of apoptosis researchers – the foundation of understanding cancer, AIDS and other diseases – and their pioneering research on organ development.
