The coalition condemned the continued threat by the Houthis to shipping in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the southern Red Sea, as well as the continued violation of the Stockholm Agreement by the Houthi militias by launching hostile operations from Hodeidah. .

It should be noted that the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced last Wednesday that air defenses had intercepted and destroyed a trapped march launched by the Houthi militia towards Abha airport.

The coalition said the violations of international law committed by the Houthi militia were serious and targeted civilians, and that it was firmly addressing the sources of threats to protect civilians and civilian property from hostile attacks.

It should be noted that for some time these militias have continued their attempts to target civilian and economic objects in the Kingdom, attempts which have been condemned by several Arab and Western countries, stressing their support for the Kingdom and its security, denouncing the terrorist attacks. of the Houthis.

These repeated and increasing attempts by the Houthis during the last period come at a time when the United Nations is trying to establish a ceasefire in Yemen, in order to restart negotiations, with a view to reaching a peaceful solution to the conflict. that has been going on for years.

Arab Parliament: Houthis threaten navigation

The Arab Parliament condemned the attempt by the Houthi militia to carry out a terrorist attack using two boat bombs in the port of Salif overlooking the Red Sea, an attack to which the forces of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia have managed to cope.

The Arab Parliament asserted that the attempt by the Houthi militia represents a threat to maritime navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the southern Red Sea, and a continuation of the violation of the Stockholm Agreement by launching hostile operations from Hodeidah, which requires a strong international position to confront terrorist acts and hold planners, supporters, financiers and those who support them, whether individuals, groups or countries, accountable .

The Arab Parliament expressed its full confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to defeat terrorism and terrorist groups, stressing its solidarity with Riyadh and its support to firmly confront all that threatens its security and stability and undermines its interests.
