Al-Marsad Journal: Reuters reported today, Monday, that oil prices rose after an oil tanker was exposed to an explosion off the port of Jeddah, in addition to tensions in world markets.

The agency said Brent futures were up 1.50% to $ 50.72 a barrel as of 11:20 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose 1.37% to 47, $ 21 per barrel.

Reuters added: “Oil gains continued in a state of anxiety after a shipping company said one of its tankers was hit by an unknown external source when the ship was unloaded at the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.”
