The Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ADCCI) announced the winners of the "King Abdulaziz Award for Scientific Research on Childhood and Development in the Arab World" to be held next week in Cairo. Forty-five arbitrators from 16 Arab countries participated in the arbitration process, amounting to USD 20,000.
Hassan Al-Baylawi, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, said the prize aimed to deepen the culture of children's rights by enriching scientific research in the field of education and research. childhood, supporting scholars interested in children's issues in Arab countries and motivating creators and researchers in scientific production in the Arab and Arab countries and maximize community dialogue on issues importance for children and their creation through research.
Dr. Al-Baylawi added that the selection of the Arab Council for Children and Development as the theme for the first session of the Citizenship Training Award in partnership with the Arab Gulf Development Program (AGFUND) was the Council's interest in matters of childhood, education and citizenship as priority issues for the education of children in countries and Arab experts. What has been developed in the initiative of the Council to introduce a new model for the education of the Arab child, "Raising Hope", based on a rights-based approach and aimed to develop hope by strengthening the child's awareness, awakening, releasing his energies and strengthening his abilities. The principles of democracy, freedom and social justice, in order to obtain positive citizenship from the establishment of a knowledge society.
A ceremony will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, during which the awards will be presented to the laureates. It should be noted that this award was launched by His Royal Highness Prince Talal Bin Abdul Aziz. May Allah grant him mercy – the founder of the Council – in September 2017, and closed the door on August 30, 2018.
