Nutrition experts have pointed out that the removal of five diet products would help get rid of the dangerous "visceral fat" and therefore to weight loss.
In his report, Xpress explained that visceral fat in the skin does not accumulate in the inner layers of the skin, but around the limbs of the abdominal cavity, often resulting in the development of diabetes , cardiovascular disease and an increase in pressure.
Experts believe that rice, pasta, bread, pastries and potatoes are the main causes of fat storage.
In detail, an eight-week trial involving 69 overweight volunteers confirmed that people consuming a small amount of carbohydrates lost 10% more fat than those on a low-calorie diet.
Scientists have however advised not to give up entirely these products, saying that they would be better replaced by more useful products such as whole grain bread and grilled potatoes instead of fried potatoes, highlighting the need to exercise.
