The Saudi Ministry of Health has announced the distribution of more than one million doses of the corona virus vaccine through 405 vaccination sites inside the Kingdom, in the context of its drive to achieve the biggest expansion in the granting of the vaccine.
Saudi Minister of Health Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah revealed in an interview with Al-Arabiya that the ministry will provide vaccines against the emerging corona virus free of charge at community pharmacies inside the Kingdom.
Al-Rabiah said the health ministry has grown, with distribution from vaccination centers, then hospitals and health centers, as well as private hospitals, and we are expanding into community pharmacies.
Asked about the free vaccinations, Al-Rabiah said, “We will provide the vaccines in a location close to the recipient, and they are always free.”
The Kingdom’s Food and Drug Administration is currently evaluating a number of coronavirus vaccines, confirming that it is ready for the rapid expansion of the vaccination process in various parts of Saudi Arabia, which is proceeding at a high pace.

The health ministry said vaccines currently approved in Saudi Arabia or those under evaluation are approved for use from the age of 16 or 18. She explained that their appointments are scheduled according to the “priority categories” approved in the “national vaccination strategy against the emerging corona virus”.
The Department of Health allowed the submission of dates for the ‘second dose’ of the Corona vaccine for those who wanted to have their doses reprogrammed through the Sehaty app, and the directive was also ordered to tie participants’ acceptance to the trial.
