Samsung has announced the launch of its new Galaxy Watch Active 2.
The South Korean company explained that the new smartwatch offered an electrocardiogram function and relied on the new version of the Tizen operating system. In addition, it is available in two models with support for optional LTE technology.
Samsung said the new smartwatch is water resistant to IP68 and can be used while swimming.
The technology package of the new Samsung Active Watch 2 includes an Omlid screen of 1.2 or 1.5 inches, with a resolution of 360 pixels and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Inside the new smartwatch is a dual-core Exion 9110 processor running up to 1.5 GHz with 768 MB or 1.5 GB of RAM in the LTE version.
The new smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5, 802.11n-WLAN, NFC and GPS technologies.
Samsung pointed out that the 40-millimeter version had a battery capacity of 247 milliamps / hour, while the 44-millimeter version had a battery capacity of 340 milliamps / hour.
The new smartwatch offers many health and fitness features, including an ECG.
