Al-Marsad Journal: Howard Grossman, an expert and one of the board members of the American health and food magazine “Eat This, Not That”, said: “The link between food and cancer is a controversial topic. But the main problem is not the food, but the additives.
According to “Sputnik”, Grossman explained that there are 3 common foods that cause cancer, namely: –
Processed meat
Grossman pointed out that processed meat is a category directly related to cancer, in all of its forms or types of meat, meaning all types of non-fresh meat, as he describes.
“High levels of nitrites and nitrates can increase the risk of gliomas (brain cancer) as well as cancers of the thyroid, colorectal and stomach.” These compounds in themselves are not carcinogenic, but they are powerful contributors.
Red meat
Grossman pointed out that studies have linked red meat to several types of cancer, including “colorectal, prostate and pancreatic cancer.”
Alcohol
Grossman said that many scientific studies have linked “high alcohol consumption to cancers of the mouth, esophagus, stomach, breast, liver and colon,” and noted that “These associations occur in the case of excessive alcohol consumption”.
