Doctors have suggested a new way to fight against malignant tumors, where kidney cancer can be effectively treated by combining two drugs.

Researchers have discovered a new way to overcome malignant kidney tumors. It has been shown that the development of these tumors can be prevented by combining only two preparations.
Untreated kidney cancer was diagnosed in approximately 890 people. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, the first comprising a drug consisting of Avelumab (for the treatment of immune deficiency) and a drug called axitinib. The second group took a special medicine with a specific effect against kidney cancer.
The results of these tests showed that the two-drug formulation was better at reducing tumors than the special drug for the treatment of kidney cancer.
With this new method, it was theoretically extended to patients in the first group 13.8 months and the second 7.2 months. This means that the combination of two drugs is almost doubly effective.
Doctors also pointed out that this method has many side effects. They will therefore continue their research to minimize these symptoms, so that the new method can be used on a large scale to treat cancer patients.
