Dr. Rania Al Mashat participates in the Forum of Social Innovation in the Arab World

This was delivered in a speech by the minister this morning at the opening of the Forum on Social Innovation in the Arab World, organized by Ashoka Arab World, which will launch the "Social Innovation in the Arab World", organized by Ashoka Women Entrepreneurship Initiative initiative in partnership with the American University of Cairo.

Dr. Rania Al Mashat thanked Ashoka for inviting her to participate in the opening of the forum activities this year, wishing her a lot of success and success, highlighting the importance of the implementation of place such platforms to bring together social entrepreneurs and business and corporate leaders, policy makers and opinion leaders are an important tool for creating a strong regional and international environment for to address global social challenges.

The Minister said that the Regional Forum for Technological Innovation in Tourism will be held on the sidelines of the meeting of the Middle East Committee of the World Tourism Organization with the World Tourism Organization in the Cairo, to be held in Cairo on March 24 and 25 under the high patronage of the Prime Minister. The Minister also commended them for launching today the Ashoka Women's Initiative (WISE) to increase the power and influence of women through equality. in social entrepreneurship, emphasizing that the focus on the role of women and youth in addressing social issues was not limited to local and international development plans such as strategy. The minister spoke about the vision adopted by the ministry to achieve sustainable tourism development in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reviewing the axes of the program of structural reforms launched last November, which aims to change the stereotype Egyptian tourism.

She emphasized that her goal as Minister of Tourism was to have at least one member of each Egyptian family work directly or indirectly in the tourism sector.

Dr. Iman Piperis, Ashoka Regional Director for the Arab World and Vice President of Ashoka International, said the main theme of the Forum this year is "from local to global and from global to local".
