Corephotonics, based in Israel, has filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging that existing iPhones with two cameras at the back violated many of its patents.

Then, in 2016, Apple previously launched the iPhone 7 Plus without agreement with Corephotonics. In fact, a senior manager of Corephotonics has again contacted Apple to resume partnership negotiations one month before the launch, but without success.
Corephotonics initiated its first patent infringement lawsuit in November 2017 after reviewing the camera unit of the iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 8 Plus, claiming that the zoom technology used in these phones was based on Corephotonics patents.
A second lawsuit was filed in April 2018 targeting the iPhone X, while today 's lawsuit focuses on the iPhone XS and the iPhone. iPhone XS Max, in which Corephotonics claims that Apple knows full well that it is violating its patents.
It is interesting to note that Samsung acquired Corephotonics under a $ 150 million contract, but neither company made a formal statement about the acquisition.
