World of Health: Ebola cases increase in Congo after violence

The World Health Organization (WHO) has indicated that Ebola cases were increasing in eastern Congo as a result of a series of attacks on settlements health.
"The past two weeks have seen a record number of new cases in this epidemic," said spokesman Christian Lindmier.
With violence hampering vaccination efforts and safe burial, more and more people were exposed to the deadly virus during this period.
Dozens of armed groups operate in the area.
However, since the epidemic, new epidemics have appeared in much less geographical areas.
There have been 1,089 confirmed and probable cases since the August epidemic, including 679 deaths.
