This is the third increase on Friday since the establishment of the price committee in October 2019 following the completion of economic reforms and the phasing out of subsidies on petroleum products as part of a sustained reform program by the IMF.

The Fuel Prices Committee, which includes representatives from the ministries of petroleum and finance, is based in its decision on the measurement of the level of international petroleum prices, exchange rates, transport, operating and fuel costs. production, and meets quarterly to review fuel prices, increase or decrease by 10%, or stabilize them.
