Dr. Omar Barrada, ophthalmology and ophthalmology consultant at Cairo University, warned of the danger of diabetes on the eyes.

The professor of ophthalmology at Cairo University said that diabetes affects the capillaries in the body, affecting the retina of the eye in the patient at an advanced stage.
He pointed out that the network of the back of the cornea is very sensitive and is bursting with bloody slogans and irregularity of sugar with the time required for the occurrence of inflammation and eye damage.
He added that increasing the sugar in the body for long periods weakened the capillaries of the retina, resulting in bleeding and leakage of fat from the capillaries, as well as swelling and swelling of the retina, which is the center of the vision of the eye, and warned that when this happened, the patient had trouble seeing and shrinking and losing vision, stressing that this happens gradually.
He added that since sugar is not only a disease, but also a lifestyle, the patient should be monitored regularly to determine the cumulative sugar level and to detect the eye at least once a year.
He emphasized that the patient should be subjected to a rigorous examination using advanced technology in this area, such as the work of the scanner on the retina, to identify and treat damaged capillaries.
He pointed out that the latest progress made in this area is the examination of the retina without the use of dye so as not to damage the eye, as well as treatment with varicose vein injection, which can improve the quality of vision and restore visual abilities, pointing out that sugar helps to quickly turn white water eyes. At mermaid age, stressing the need to treat the retina before removing the white water from the eye.
Barada has provided several tips to avoid this, including the need to regularly monitor the diabetic with his doctor, as well as the ophthalmologist at least twice a year, to see if the sugar network has changed, highlighting the need to follow a specific diet according to the instructions of the specialist doctor.
