According to the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan”, a number of artists prevented artist Rashwan Tawfiq from attending the burial ceremony. Funeral attendees were surprised by artist Khaled Al-Nabawi’s request to Ibrahim, Rashwan Tawfiq’s personal assistant, to take the latter home.
This is due to artist Khaled al-Nabawi’s fear that Rashwan Tawfiq might be infected with the Corona virus, due to his advanced age, which has won the approval of some.
Al-Alaili’s son recounted the last moments of his life, confirming that nothing has happened recently that disrupts his life or makes him sad.
He explained that his father was neither sick nor infected with the coronavirus, indicating that until the last day he moved normally and practiced his daily chores.
