Egypt News: Outreach Center Ends Workshop on Health Education Organized by League of Arab States

The Arab Center for Health Awareness (AWI) of the Arab Doctors Union has concluded a workshop entitled "Fundamentals of Health Education in the Arab World", in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates. Arab Organization for the Administrative Development of the League of Arab States.

The workshop aimed to prepare trainers and health education specialists, to give doctors and health workers the skills to communicate with patients, to communicate health information properly and to develop a plan. action plan for an integrated health program, ranging from the need to evaluate and understand the methods of treatment with the media.

The workshop also allowed participants to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes in health education and health promotion, as well as practical applications to understand human behavior. and identify possible behavioral factors, allowing and reinforcing behavior.

The workshop was characterized by the use of interactive training, the practical application of planning, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs in the institutions of participants and their exit from the integrated knowledge framework on the skills needed to employ them in their organizations.

Dr. Osama Raslan, secretary-general of the Arab Doctors Union, said training courses and workshops on health education and health awareness were among the most important activities supported by the Ministry of Education.
