Egyptian artist Hani Saleh won the prize
For the Egyptian artist Hani Saleh, winning the Mahmoud Kahil Prize in Lebanon in the children's books section is a special event for his artistic career. He is supported and appreciated by a prize bearing the name of a talented Arab draftsman, the late Mahmoud Kahil.

Hani Saleh won the award for the book "Ahlam Qat", which deals with the topic of violence against animals. Saleh appeared on the shortlist of children's drawings with Hassan Manasra of Jordan and Taghreed artist Abdel-Aal of Palestine.
Hani Saleh, graphic designer, studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts and realized a visual and artistic project on works related to children's arts. He has already received the Sharjah Children's Book Fair award and the Etisalat prize of the best interactive application, "I dream of being" The category developed by the 2017 Communication Award for the competition in its children's literature competitions.
The Mahmoud Kahil Prize was established in 2014 at the American University of Beirut, at the initiative of "Mu & # 39; taz and Rada Al Sawaf for the Basics of the Arab Image", with a view to commemorating the legacy of the late Mahmoud Kahil, one of the most prominent caricaturists in the Arab world. The Mahmoud Kahil Prize is the first sustainable cartoon prize to be awarded in partnership between the American University of Beirut, donors and a jury of independent international critics.
