Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr Osama Abdel-Hay, the representative of the Medical Union in Egypt, came out to comment on a video of a doctor asking an elderly nurse to bow down to his dog, claiming that they had not received no complaints about the video, “however, it contains administrative violations.”

According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan, the representative of the Doctors’ Union criticized what the doctor had done, noting that he did not imagine that the nurse’s punishment was because of this doctor’s dog.

He said that no doctor has the right to punish anyone except through legal procedures, stressing that the case falls under the authority of the Administrative Prosecutor’s Office if the incident occurs in a public hospital, and that the case is submitted to the authority of the Department of Free Care at the Ministry of Health if it is a private hospital, asking the Ministry of the Interior to contact this person and refer him to the authorities.
