Egyptian artist Hassan Shakoush
Egypt’s Musical Trades Union legal adviser Alaa Amer said the decision to arrest popular singer Hassan Shakoush is “final and irreversible.”
Alaa Amer added in a telephone interview that Hassan Shakoush “did not respect the stage or the audience”, calling on the various media “to ignore and not to shed light on or follow the artist of the festival”.
Amer said he was about to send letters to the Media Union and the National Media Authority in Egypt, as well as all responsible authorities urging them not to deal with the artists at the festival.
And the Egyptian Union of Musical Professions had announced that Shakoush had been suspended from singing, following an argument that broke out between him and singer Reda El Bahrawy.
