Emirates Airlines vice chairman of the shipping department Nabil Sultan said the carrier is in talks with more than 12 pharmaceutical companies around the world over the transfer of the Corona vaccine.
“The first shipments of the vaccine will arrive at the company’s facilities in the UAE in mid-December,” Sultan said in a remote media interview.
He added: “The company’s responsibility is to transport and deliver the vaccine, in coordination and cooperation with manufacturers, including Pfizer and Biontech, as well as Moderna.”
He pointed out that the company is in talks with vaccine manufacturers to provide integrated logistics service and transport the vaccine from Dubai to countries around the world.
And Sultan said that “the transport company will increase the capacity of its fleet for air cargo operations over the coming period to meet the high demand, especially with the start of the new year.”
