British police have arrested a Brighton-Endhove Albion footballer, active in the English Premier League, on suspicion of sexual assault.
Sky Sports have reported that the player, whose name has not been released for legal reasons, was arrested at a Brighton nightclub in the early hours of Wednesday.
However, the British newspaper “The Sun” revealed the identity of the player, Yves Bisoma, 25.
Sussex Police said in a statement: “Two men were arrested after a woman reported a sexual assault at a Brighton location in the early hours of Wednesday.”

“A man in his forties and a man in his twenties, both from Brighton, were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and are currently in custody,” the statement continued.
For their part, English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion have said that one of their players is assisting police in an investigation into an alleged crime.
He added: “The matter is subject to legal proceedings and therefore the club are unable to comment further at this time.”
