Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated Emir Qatari Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani for his victory in the Asian Cup.
President Erdogan sent congratulations to the Emir of Qatar on his country's victory in the final against Japan and its historic title in the 2018 Asian Cup, sources told the Turkish presidency.
The two leaders also stressed the need to strengthen relations between Turkey and Qatar in all areas and to maintain communication between the two sides.
On Friday night, the Qatari team won the 17th title of the Asian Nations Cup for the first time in its history after beating Japan 3-1. (Anatolia)
