Chelsea 's Cesc Fabregas, who drew 0-0 at home against Southampton on Wednesday, left the Stamford Bridge club before settling in Monaco.

The Spaniard, crowned World Champion 2010, played his 500th match against English clubs from 2003 to 2011 with Arsenal and settled in Chelsea in 2014.

Chelsea fans predicted that the midfielder had finally arrived with his team in the match. "Fabregas is going," said a fan. Another added, "Goodbye Sisk, good luck."

"My 500 years in English football is a feat," wrote Fabregas on his Twitter account. "My dream of reaching these numbers is a fact, a new moment of pride in my career, I'll see you at Stamford Bridge next Saturday."

The 31-year contract ends six months later with the Blues. The French press has announced an agreement between the Spanish and the club that will lead Fabregas de Chelsea to Monaco during the winter Mercato.

Fabregas will receive 10 million euros to sign the contract. The deal will be signed by Monaco coach Terry Henry, a former Fabregas teammate between 2003 and 2007.

The official media announced that the agreement would be concluded in the coming days and that Cesc Fabregas would go to the Principality of Monaco for a medical examination.
