French newspaper L’Equipe have revealed that Argentina star Lionel Messi is awaiting a huge financial reward for his move to Paris Saint-Germain, during the transfer market last summer.
The newspaper reports that Messi will earn 110 million euros if he continues with the Paris team until the end of his contract in the summer of 2024.
The French newspaper reported that Messi will receive an annual net salary of 30 million euros, in addition to 1 million euros from the cryptocurrency platform.
She also indicated that the Paris club are awarding Messi another financial reward under the loyalty clause of 10 million euros, for each of the second and third seasons of his contract.
Lionel Messi, 34, was forced to join Paris Saint-Germain under a Mercato free transfer deal last summer, after Barcelona failed to extend his contract despite reaching a deal renewal period of 5 years, due to economic problems and the salary cap restrictions imposed by the Spanish League.
