Facebook has entered into several agreements with Samsung and other phone manufacturers using the Android operating system, making it impossible to remove the application.
Several Samsung phone owners have complained that their devices do not allow them to uninstall the Facebook application, while there is an option to disable the application rather than delete it, according to the Bloomberg news agency.
According to the report, the agreement between Facebook and Samsung seems to include the integration of the Facebook application in Samsung applications, automatically downloaded with the operating system, which are manufacturer applications.
The number of transactions made by Facebook with companies and models covered by the transaction is not known, but the Samsung Galaxy S8 is certainly part of it.
A Facebook spokesman said that contracts with the telephone companies were to offer a better user experience and that disabling the application was working the same way, which meant that they only did not collect data or send information to Facebook.
