Facebook will probably also hide the counter of "I like" in your posts

Last July, Instagram began to hide the "I like" counter in its posts because it wants your subscribers to focus on the photos and videos you share, not on the number of "J & #'s" "Love" that they receive. "Instagram seems to have received positive feedback, so Facebook can also start to hide the number of likes in its posts.

This information comes from Jane Wong, reverse engineering expert, who spotted this change in the source code of the Facebook application on the Android platform.

The masks counter works similar to what we saw on Instagram: only the author of the publication can see the number of likes, while only other users can see the names of shared friends who liked the publication. Jane Wong, researcher, says that the number of "likes" in the comments is visible, but perhaps because the feature is still in development.

Facebook has confirmed that it plans to remove the likes counter from the messages, but has not disclosed any information about when this feature would be available to all users.
